Bo Osis light

The OSIS BO collection, featuring the OSIS BO Wall Light and the OSIS BO Table Light, applies the studio’s signature surface treatment to sculptural, illuminated fixtures. Both designs highlight the strength, stability, and surprising flexibility of OSIS veneer—an extremely durable, aircraft-grade material crafted from high-quality birch. The wood’s striking pattern is the result of a unique natural process: salt and pigments are used to draw out and completely transform the natural grain. When turned on, the lamps cast a warm, ambient glow that beautifully reveals how the surface treatment and the wood’s natural grain flow together into a single, organic texture. This radiant warmth creates a perfect visual contrast against the crisp, industrial geometry of their sleek, powder-coated metal frames.

In the OSIS BO Wall Light, a single sheet of this veneer is cleanly clamped into the base to form a graceful arch, highlighting a refined, straightforward design. The OSIS BO Table Light applies this same material to a freestanding fixture, wrapping the fluid shade around a solid cylindrical base. At first glance, the table light plays with perception—its base is angled slightly to one side while the arch of the veneer leans the other way, creating the impression of an asymmetric, unstable form. In reality, the lamp remains perfectly grounded, achieving a beautiful physical and visual balance thanks to the solid weight of the dark metal base and the remarkable lightness of the illuminated wood.
