The Sarotti Court in Berlin was once home of a famous chocolate factory and is one of the most beautiful backyards in Kreuzberg 61. Our client, 10X Innovations GmbH, a member of the Melitta Group, opened a Start-up incubator in that space in 2018.
LLOT LLOV’s task is to arrange the 180 square meters space in a way so that it can be used for various functions and purposes. Variety in size should guarantee office space as well as rooms for presentations, workshops, meetings, parties or book readings.
The rooms should stimulate rapid and uncomplicated change in thinking, methods, and work. Walls for that reason have to be mobile, to create new rooms or hide others. The interior and the furniture have therefore to be multifunctional. LLOT LLOV created for this project i.e. a conference table which can be turned into an elevated table or stowed away in a cabinet.
To improve the work environment the walls were partly fitted with noise reducing panels. They have a decorative purpose and are made out of recyclable wool and wood. The reception space offers a living room feeling.
The kitchen is again a blend of flexibility and cosiness. It is big enough for cooking together and has enough chairs for chilling together. It can also be used for barrister- or cooking workshops.
